Are you looking for a custom tattoo? Sin City Tattoo, has experienced artists who are available to provide you with one-of-a-kind tattoo designs, spanning an array of different genres.
In recent years, body art has become increasingly popular and this has many people seeking unique, one-of-a-kind custom tattoo designs. Sin City's seasoned artists are available to help clients come up with the perfect design!
Of course, you must come into the shop with a general idea of what you're seeking. It's impossible to expand upon an idea when you're starting from nothing! If you have a general idea or theme that interests you, tell our artists and they can make recommendations and help you to come up with an idea for a custom tattoo design that you'll enjoy for many years to come.
There are a number of different ways to come up with custom tattoos. Some of these options include:
Custom tattoo designs from an existing design – With this option, you typically start with a design from one of the thousands available in Sin City Tattoos's flash books. Then, one of our artists will help you make it your own by altering and customising the image. Or, if you're artistically inclined, you can draw the design on your own and one of our artists will bring it to life!
Custom tattoo colours from an existing design – Some clients opt to create a custom tattoo design by altering the colours of an existing design that's present in our flash books. This is one of the easiest customisations, as it's simply a matter of using different colours during the actual inking process.
Compositing designs for a custom tattoo – You can combine elements from two or more images to make unique, one-of-a-kind custom tattoos. So if you're seeking a dragon tattoo, you might opt to use the head of one dragon, the body shape of another and the feet of a third dragon. This is all possible at Sin City Tattoo, as our talented artists have years of training as tattoo artists and in other art forms as well.
Custom tattoos from a photograph – Portrait tattoos are perhaps the most popular form of custom tattoo design. There are few better ways to ensure that nobody else will have the exact same tattoo!
When making a custom tattoo design from a photograph, you must keep several things in mind to ensure that our parlour staff can bring your design to life in the exact way you've envisioned it!
The photograph must be clear and details must be apparent. The most attractive portraits are fairly detailed. When you lose the detail, you lose a bit of the essence of the individual who's pictured in the portrait. So for best results, it's ideal to have a very detailed image. (melbourne tattooists)
Bring in multiple photographs of the subject. This will provide the tattoo artist with a feel for how the person or pet looks in real life and it will help the artist to create a custom tattoo design that truly captures the individual's essence. Also, it may be necessary to re-draw the portrait in a way that integrates elements from multiple images in order to get the most aesthetically-pleasing design.
The photograph should be at least as large as the final tattoo size. Ideally, the image should be larger than the tattoo that you wish to obtain. It's fairly easy to shrink down an image, but when you enlarge an image, you lose fine details and the result may be a bit diluted. (melbourne tattooists)
Certain types of photographs make better tattoo designs. Ideally, the image shouldn't just be detailed and clear, but it should also capture the individual's essence and personality.
Notably, each of our artists specialises in a certain style of tattoos and artwork. So feel free to inquire about viewing samples of each artist's work to determine which individual's style most suits your tastes.
